Reiter Aspic Powder – Delikatess Sülzen-Pulver

This packet mixes with 3/4 liter (750 ml / 25.3 fl oz) of water. You do not need to cook this mix. Therefore, the preparation is incredibly quick and easy.

Versatile Uses in the Kitchen:
This premium savory gelatin is a favorite choice for creative home cooks and traditional beer gardens. For instance, it is perfect for classic Tellersulze (plated meat and vegetable aspic). Furthermore, you can easily prepare traditional German delicacies. These include Sauerfleisch (tender pickled pork in aspic) and Eisbeinsulze (rich pork knuckle meat jelly).
You can also use this powder to create beautiful aspics in jars or glass molds. It tastes exceptionally good with cold roast meat, German sausage, fish, and hard-boiled eggs. Additionally, it works beautifully with crisp garden vegetables or raw crudités.

Directions for Perfect Results:
First, stir one packet (25 grams / 0.8 oz) of the powder into 25.3 fl oz (750 ml) of hot water. Do not boil the liquid! Next, season the mix with 2 to 3 tablespoons of high-quality wine vinegar.
Allow the liquid to cool down slightly. Afterward, pour a small amount over your prepared food ingredients. Wait a few minutes, then pour the remaining liquid completely. Finally, place the dish in the refrigerator to chill and set.

Pro Tips for a Guaranteed Set:
The water amount is precisely calculated for the powder weight. Therefore, you should always follow the measurements exactly. Please do not add too much wine vinegar. Too much acid can weaken the protein structure of the gelatin.
Always chill your finished aspic below 50°F (10°C). Ideally, you should place it directly into the refrigerator. If you follow these simple steps, your delicious German meat jelly will turn out perfectly every time.
